UK:

Wales announced this week that it is extending its smoking ban, making it illegal to smoke in outdoor school spaces, playgrounds and hospital grounds.

The purpose of this law is to prevent non-smokers from inhaling any second-hand smoke, as well as to ‘de-normalise’ smoking for young people.

US:

President Donald Trump’s tarrifs on steel and aluminium has been criticised as being ‘wrong’ and ‘unlawful’ by UK’s International Trade Secretary Liam Fox.

This comes after UK Prime Minister Theresa May said she was ‘disappointed’ that the US did not exempt the UK from the ‘unjustified’ taxes.

World:

Only a week after the summit between the leaders of the US and North Korea was cancelled, US President Donald Trump has announced that the meeting is back on.

The meeting will take place on 12 June in Singapore, as was originally planned.

The Fultum Post contributors have also written on abortion, Brimingham’s Pride Parade, Tommy Robinson, ‘the myth’ of body positivity and on the state of opinion polls in Britain and America.
