Russia Brands UK’s Cyber Attack Accusation ‘Russophobic’

Russia has hit back against the British government’s accusation that the Russian military was behind last years so-called ‘NotPetya’ cyber attack.

Responding to these comments, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov claimed they are completely unfounded and are merely part of a European ‘Russophobic’ campaign.

Britain’s foreign ministry earlier branded the Russian military responsible for the cyber attack which began in Ukraine in June last year and soon spread across Europe, including into the UK.

Russia has previously denied responsibility for the ‘NotPetya’ attack and has highlighted the fact that Russian firms were also effected by its reach.
