Hungary’s Orbán Hopes to Create a ‘Christian Democracy’

The Prime Minister of Hungary has set out his plans for protecting the Christian culture of his country, not long after being re-elected to his position for a third consecutive term with an impressive majority.

A French newspaper has reported that, talking on a radio station, Viktor Orbán said:

‘We are building a Christian democracy. An old-fashioned Christian democracy whose roots are in the European tradition, where human dignity is essential and where there is a separation of powers.’

Mr. Orbán added that ‘we will defend the Christian culture and we will not give the country to foreigners.’
