Huge Loss for the Unborn Child – Exit Polls Suggest Ireland Votes ‘Yes’


The referendum in Ireland on whether the Eighth Amendment, which bans abortion in all but the most extreme circumstances, took place yesterday, with polls opening at 9am and closing at 10pm.

According to exit polls by The Irish Times and RTÉ, 69.4 percent voted to repeal this amendment, with only 30.6 percent voting to keep it.

The actual result of the referendum will be released later today.
